Paralympic Event

As part of their 'organise an event' module, some of the year 2 Foundation Degree Sports students have organised a Paralympic sports event alongside Kirsty Armstrong and Tanya Angus. 

Working alongside deliverers from Watford football community sports trust and Herts disability foundation, the students will run football, cricket, target games and archery activities for 4 groups of students from Springfield, supportive learning and landmark. The morning will follow a carousel with each group spending 25 minutes on each activity before moving on to the next. This means the deliverers can adapt the sport to suit the specific needs of each group and students are therefore able to try out sports that may previously have been unachievable in its standard form.

This will form a pathway of opportunities on the way to the inter-college competition in June!
